JUMOKE SANWO (Director, Revolving Art Incubator)
Jumoke Sanwo is the co-founder and creative director of Revolving Art Incubator, an alternative art space for multi-creative engagement and contemporary art discourse. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in English studies from the Obafemi Awolowo Univer-sity Ile-Ife. As a storyteller, she works primarily in photography, video art and virtual real-ity, reflecting on self-perception and separation, experienced through time and space, while engaging the realities and complexities of spatiality in postcolonial societies. An accomplished photographer, her works have been exhibited in New York, Brussels, Du-bai, Lagos, Sudan, Addis Ababa, Benin, Chad and Ghana, as well as published in several local and international magazines and journals. In 2019, she directed ‘Lagos at Large’, an immersive non-fiction piece, which premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) and was listed in Forbes Magazine’s top 50 Extended Reality (XR) experiences for 2019.
