DR SIMON IKPAKRONYI

Dr Simon Ikpakronyi is the Acting Director-General, National Gallery of Art (NGA) Nigeria, he holds a Ph.D. in art history from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as well as, a certificate in policy, strategy and leadership from the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Jos. He started his career at the NGA where he has successfully performed in such senior roles as the Director, Planning and Research; Director, Planning and Documentation, and Director, Educational Services. In the course of his career, he has also curated several art exhibitions and written extensively on modern art in Nigeria and Africa.
